Guitar man

Clayton has been saving his money because he is so into guitars that he wanted to get an electric guitar.  Hed saved his money and was  able to get one.  Now he is saving the money for the amp....He is so excited to have it and he is doing a great job at learning to play.  Very proud of him.

After effects of Bear Lake

Poor MaKenna was so burned from being at Bear Lake that this is what happened a few days later.  I feel so bad for her. Im sure she was miserable while she was here but she wouldnt say.  Silly girl.

 After Bear Lake..Heather and Hadley and MaKenna and Bryson came back to Kemmerer.  On Sunday we took them home and Heather wanted to stop and see grandma.  This is Hadley and grandma

Birthday Surprise

 On Friday the 20th...Jamie calls at 9:10 all stressed out.  Dad..I took the day off and brought the kids to Bear Lake and my van is acting up and I cant get hold of Bill cuz he is working.  Can you come and help us?  So Russ threw in tow cables and screwdrivers and other tools and we headed to Bear Lake.  All the way over he said...I dont know what we can do about the car.  I dont think we can tow it.  I dont know what we can do.  I said well, lets just go see and wait til she gets hold of Bill  .  So we pull up next to Jamies van and he gets out and starts looking at it and 9 grandkids and parents come from off of the beach and yell...surprise...happy birthday...GOT YA....

 The girls pulled it off.  Heather went to Jamies on Thursday.  She came from Laramie and Kim left Payson at 7:00 in the morning and Crystal left around 9:00.  Jamie was there by 8:30 to get a spot and call her dad.  YEAHHHHHHH.. We did it.  I think he was very happy and surprised

Clayton was so excited for Fossil fest to get here. His favorite group came back to town.  This is the lead singer and Claytons favorite.  They taught him a song on his quitar so that was really cool.  way to go Clayton....You should smile though...Oh yeah,....You were smiling all day long waiting to meet them.  Love you Clay bug

Xander

 Poor Xander.  He got the weird virus again.  It is synovitis...which is a cold on the hip.  One minute he is fine and the next he was in pain. 

 Jamie and Bill took Xander to Primary Childrens Medical Center to the emergency room so they could see a specialist  to make sure exactly what he had.  They did x-rays and blood work and tested for all kinds of things and that is what they came up with.  He is going to be the one that gets the strange things.  Way to go Xander.

After being poked and prodded and stabbed and looked at they headed home and poor Xander had had enough.  Time to sleep.  He is doing better now.  Love the little guy.  When I had Trin and Quin for a visit I took them home and pulled up in their driveway and Trin and Quin were standing there with open arms and he came around to the drivers side and got me.  Gotta love that....

 Quinton and Trinity came to grandma and grandpas for a weekend visit.  They wanted to go swimming so I took them to the indoor pool.  This is Quinton practicing swimming.

 This is Trinity going off of the low dive.  She did go off of the high dive...eventually. Took a couple of tried but she did it.

Quinton had a good time too but he was freezing.  It was hard to do thumbs up when you are freezing.  Loved having them here.

More Fire Pictures

 This is what we stood and watched when we got home on Wednesday.  It was very eerie to see it so close.  It would die out and then plume up again.

Stressful for everyone.  She was such a trooper.  She said I only cried for two days. She ended up taking a two hour nap when we got home.  Poor kid.

Fire at Heathers

 Heather had finished her skydiving and was heading home when she got a call from her friend asking if they were ok.  Heather says yeah why..I just finished jumping.  Her friend says there was a fire out by their place.  They were three hours from home.  When they got home there was a plume of smoke
 and C 130 flying over to put it out.  So the next morning they get up and there is no smoke so they decide to head to Wheatland to get Chad's truck which was being worked on.  Well halfway to town Heather gets the call on her cell phone that they are on pre-evacuation.  So they went to Laramie and a friend took Chad to Wheatland to get his truck and Heather went home to start packing up stuff.  This was around 10:00 in the morning.  Heather started getting security box and important papers and all the pictures off her walls. Chad got home around 4:00 and Heather went down to the friends house that she skydived with to give them a thank you card and when she got there the people were clearing out their home.  Heather said...ah...what are you doing.  They said they had a friend who was a fireman and they were next on the list to evacuate.  They were on their way to town.  Heather ran home and soon all those people came and helped them load up all their house into Chads big trailer. Thosr people left at 6:00 and  Heather and Chad got the call to evacuate and head to Laramie to the fairgrounds.  They were told to stay calm.

 As they were leaving  Heather said the smoke was very think and burning their eyes.  They shut off the propane tank and headed out.  At the top of the hill looking back you could see the flames coming over the hill.  She didnt know if that would be the last time they would see their home or not.  Very unreal.  They took the trailer into town and had friends that let them park it there.  They had another friend that had an empty house that they were able to stay in.  They had to go to the fairgrounds and check in so that they could keep track of where families were.   They had update meetings every day at 10:00 at the fairgrounds. I went down to help be a little bit of moral support. 

 Very unreal.  They were evacuated on July first and was able to return home on July 4th.  What a way to spend the 4th of July.  This is one that they will always remember.

 This was driving back to Jelm.  They didnt even know those old cars were even in the willows.  It looked like a war zone as you were driving through.  It came right next to the road.  This is actually a spot where the fire jumped the road.

 The firefighters were abolutely amazing.  Cant thank them enough for all that they did for the community  and the town. They worked very hard.  Heather said they thought they would be evacuated for at least 3 weeks and here it was just a few days.  Great men and women.

Hadley made a thank you sign for the firemen because they were based at the Landing just at the cafe where you enter.  This is the owner and a volunteer  fireman. 

Lagoon

 Bryson was able to go to Lagoon with his neighbors that live across the street from them.  He looks like he is haveing a great time.  Kim said he was very tired when he got home.
